Post Lockdown, Maunaantar- Mime Play Competition Prize Distribution keeps the theatre energy going!

Wide Wings Media, Dreams 2 Reality & Fairy Tale Media Studio had jointly organized" Maunaantar 2021" Mime Play Competition on 5th December at The Box, Pune. This year was the 7th year of the competition and a total of 12 teams participated in the competition, out of which the top 3 teams were selected as the winners.

Prize distribution ceremony of this competition was held on Sunday 2nd January 2022 at 5:30PM IST at The Box, Pune. The prizes were distributed at the hands of the artists of the upcoming Marathi Movie "Paawankhind" ; Director Digpal Lanjekar, Actor Ajay Purkar & Sushrut Mankani graced the occasion with their presence. The judges of the competition this year were theatrists – Dr. Ajay Joshi & Mr. Dheeresh Joshi who were also present at the Prize distribution along with Mr. Sunil Chandurkar from ‘Rhyfil’, Mr. Ganesh Jadhav from ‘Gangotree Homes & Holidays’, Mr. Sachin Kulkarni from ‘Mukul Madhav Foundation’ and ‘Finolex Pipes’ & Mrs. Pournima Manohar from 'Wide Wings Media' who had ably supported the competition.

Maunaantar 2021 Results are as follows - 1st Prize : 'Say Sari' – by Kalapini Talegaon Dabhade. 2nd Prize : 'Nothing but the truth!' by Talking Owlets. 3rd Prize : 'Bas… Sapne!' By Jacaranda.

Best Lights - Mihir Oak for 'Nothing but the truth!' by Talking Owlets

The prize distribution ceremony was followed by the performances of 3 winning plays of the competition. This was the 1st theatre competition held in Pune post the Covid break and we were glad that we received a wonderful response from the audience for the entire event.
